Coaching helps individuals and teams look at their work, relationships and challenges from new perspectives, and to step back from the day to day and think differently about how they work and lead, particularly in complex public and third sector environments.
ThinkTeam’s coaching is conducted in line with the EMCC Code of Conduct and informed by a robust, experience based framework of reflection, skills awareness and action.
Exploring goals, priorities and challenges in context
Noticing patterns in behaviour, relationships and decision making
Supporting practical action planning and reflection over time
How do we do it?
Coaching with ThinkTeam can be individual, team based or group based, depending on what will be most useful. Each programme begins with a conversation to understand context, needs and goals, so the coaching approach fits the situation rather than the other way around. Our coaching practice is built around listening, questioning and guided reflection.
Why do we do it?
Coaching is for people who want to make a change but are not quite sure how. Often they are already capable and experienced, but feel stuck, uncertain or ready for a shift in how they approach their work or leadership. What people want to develop is not always tangible.
It may be confidence, clarity or a renewed sense of direction rather than a specific technical skill. This is particularly important for people whose roles involve influencing, collaboration and engagement with others.
ThinkTeam’s coaching creates a space where that exploration can happen safely and productively. It is supportive and challenging in equal measure, helping people move beyond reflection into action.
Where have we done it?
ThinkTeam has undertaken professional coaching and mentoring with a wide range of clients across public and third sector organisations. Our coaching practice is informed by extensive experience working with people across Wales, including recognition through the Future Generations Changemaker 100 for contributing to meaningful, outcomes focused change linked to the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act. Clients describe the experience as enabling, thought provoking and constructive, helping them build clarity, confidence and momentum in their work.
Our work includes:
Mentoring individuals through the Civil Service LGBTQ Mentoring Scheme, supporting participants from across UK Civil Service bodies including the Probation Service and the Home Office, with a focus on cross team and cross organisation collaboration.
Coaching individuals in their own professional goals and development.
Providing reflective space for practitioners leading change.
